Hi Karl,
I have written to you before about my
cancer.
I get your newsletters every week and have been on Taheebo tea for a while.
I do feel better on it and was remaining fairly stable .. (the biggest tumor in my liver only grew 1 cm in a year), however, the oncologist suggested that I try the newest and latest for my very rare cancer (carcinoid) because of the growth.
After much prodding from my husband decided to try it. It is a drug called Sandostatin (really, a hormone which we all make anyway) but unfortunately did not respond very well to that medicine .. (feel very weak and shaky).. I ended up with MAJOR blood clots in my mesenteric and portal vein arteries, admitted to hospital (where at least 50 docs couldn't agree on a bleeping thing) (sorry, I'm disgusted) and had to start on heparin and now have to give myself two shots of Lovenox a day. (a drug like heparin).
Needless
to say I'm pretty much a bruised up, weak,
shaky, feeling yucky all the time lady. At
this point I really wanted to come off of
the medicine because I thought that this is
what caused the clots but while none of
them could say it didn't come from the
clots, none of them could say it did. UGH
AND UGH! They are (of course) hanging out
my room door (very soberly) talking amongst
themselves where I could hear about 4th
stage carcinoid cancer, blah, blah and
double blah.
Geez, thought I was feeling better for the meds but they are still telling me that I should be on this medicine as it dropped my serotonin level from 1900 (it shouldn't be above 32) down to 475 and my heart rate stays stable now. I am at my wits end here and am trying to read ALL this information this month about cancer. What is the bottom line here. What should I try?
I really NEED some straight up advice.
They tell
me I should not be taking herbs right now
because of the blood thinner. (which I
have to take to dissolve
these nasty clots now..)
I feel like I opened Pandora's box. Now, how to shut the darn thing!
I went off the Pau d Arco tea as I was not sure how this would interfere with the blood thinner. I'm on a merry go round, right?

Dear Sue,
What a story!
The oncologist is obviously not your friend -- but your enemy.
Sue, I don't know you, or your husband, so it is easy for me to be blunt.
Your husband is in a state of fear and worries more about not having a wife than he is concerned that you are allowed to be in charge of your own body.
You can show this to him, or not. Many cancer victims are actually the victims of "wrong relationships."
You got the Wednesday Letter that linked to my "new science" -- where I write about wrong relationships as the SENIOR cause of cancer.
My advice? You need to set him straight. It is your body, not his. You have an absolute right, without pressure, to do what you think is right.
You are still too susceptible to the pressures from others -- your doctor and your husband cave you in from your original intention.
The doctor was proven wrong, but who pushed you in that direction?
Yes!
Please re-read that section on new science, wrong relationships. I would not write so intensely about this, and so often, if I did not believe it to be so valid.
Yes, you made a "mistake" in trusting the doctor and trusting your husband.
You must learn to trust yourself.
I urge you to read all the links on this last newsletter. Defy the doctors if you wish.
It is you in charge of your body, not them.
Print out my articles -- ask them to read. Ask your husband to read them.
They probably won't.
I think you made a mistake to stop the Taheebo. Those doctors don't have a clue.
But, I'm not a doctor and I cannot give "medical advice."

I don't know about those drugs you are taking so can't advise.
Before anything else, you need to re-establish that you have a right to make your own decisions about your body -- get the doctors to agree, and your husband to agree.
Otherwise, you are on the doomed path to cancer death.

Hello again.
Thank you for writing back to me.
I think that I will start with the basic oral chelation without the added herbs. I know that I'm not allowed to take garlic capsules while I'm still on the blood thinner because the onco told me that one before. ugh.
I went to see her today and talked her into just 3 months of the blood thinner instead of the 6 months originally prescribed.
Guess I'm stuck on that stuff because of the clotting in the main artery right now. I use to take a product called immune 26 (an egg immune system enhancer) and wondered if that was the same product that you are talking about here.
I already started back on the Taheebo tea. It makes me feel better and that's that.
I want to take good care of myself but also don't want to hurt myself on this dumb blood thinner. Thought I made progress today by telling her that from all that I have been reading 3 months would be sufficient for my problem.
I think oral chelation would certainly help me also with this. So, think I will order the basic chelation therapy.. also, I am interested in the immune egg thing you offer.. is it the immune 26 or another product?
If you were in my shoes right now what would you be taking with the blood thinner "Lovenox"?
Thank you very much.. read the articles on wrong relationships.. you seem to hit the nail right on the head. I have had a very stormy 30 year marriage and don't feel like right now would be the time to walk with my illness... but definitely can see where you are coming from. absolutely.

I'm pleased at your seeing things about the relationship, and you are right, walking is not always the thing to do.
You need, then, to be all the stronger, personally, to stand up for your rights as a being.
