Dear Karl,
Great Letter April 2!
Some Comments on the content.
"Then, during World War II, butter, for some
reason, seemed to be in short supply and you
had to have a ration coupon to buy the
stuff."
Fats were needed by the war effort. One
could turn in fat at the butcher shop and
get meat ration stamps for it. Fats contain
nitrates or something that goes bang!
"II. Not too many of
my readers will recall those years, in the
1940's much. I was born in 1931, so I can
still recall the horse-drawn truck that
brought milk to my home regularly --
including, of course, that Golden Guernsey
Milk with the special, 4% milk fat, filling
the top of the bottle. I recall that the
ration coupons my family had included some
for getting butter. Butter was rationed. I
wonder why, but it was."
Karl,
I was born 1927, and never saw a horse drawn
milk wagon although We lived in small and
large towns, in Oregon.
I milked a Jersey and a Gurnsey and made
butter in a churn like the one you pictured.
In 1937 we could sell cream but not milk, no
one would buy milk from us. We made our
surplus into Cottage Cheese and fed it to the
Chickens.
At other times I stirred the packet of
orange color into the margarine.
You may want to change the part about 4%,
that stuff on top of the bottle was simply
cream, and I understand that the term 4%
refers to milk that still has 4%
butterfat, like milk from the store, farm
kids hated it.. All this before age 11.
Someplace I read recently that sometimes
"Margarine" was merely Coconut oil as it is
white and melts when warm.
There was a shortage of tires, gasoline,
chewing gum and other items also during WWII.
In the middle of the War I went to work in
the Shipyard and there were many of the
older people off the farm working for big
wages, maybe that made butter scarce because
fewer farmers..
Keep up the good work!
Lorenzo
Dear Lawrence,
Great message.
Yes, I know that the stuff at the top was cream.
I lived in a small town 25 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio. We had horses for delivery trucks.
Interesting comments.

Dear Karl,
I am a subscriber to your "Wednesday Letter",
& want to thank you for the great article on
the cholesterol myth.
I am a 60 year old female, who was one of the unfortunate ones "scared" into having by-pass surgery in 1995, to take care of 1 artery with 90 percent blockage & two others with 70 percent, & was told that I would most likely die from a heart attack soon if I didn't have the surgery.
My life has never been the same since.
Right now, my total cholesterol is 300, but I do not take a "statin" drug, because of the side effects they cause for me.
After reading your article, I am rather glad that is true. At present, I am suffering from a bizarre symptom of feeling like I am having a "total body" hot flash for most of the waking hours of the day, & so far the M.D.'s here don't have a clue what is causing it.
They also are completely anti- vitamin or supplement type's of Doctors. How I wish that there was a physician nearby that was open to alternative ways of healing, other than just pushing drugs at you!
Anyway,
thank you so much for continuing to try to
enlighten the misinformed public.
Sincerely,
Evelyn
Dear Evelyn,
Thanks very much for the nice words.
You are very fortunate to have avoided the cholesterol-lowering drugs.
Help spread the word.
I suspect that I can help you with those "hot flashes" all over the body -- but first, how about sending me information about your diet and life-style.
I'll respond.

Dear Karl,
I thought you might be interested in what this man (http://www.iknowthecause.com/index.html) has to say.
-steve
Dear Steve,
I went to that page -- interesting.I don't think fungal problems are as basic as free radicals, but they are certainly a good expansion on orthodox medicine's cast of bad characters.Did you find the Cholesterol letter useful?Regards, karl Loren
Dear Karl
I found the cholesterol article quite interesting.
My first exposure to this type of "counter-culture" thinking began about 5 or 6 years ago when i began the Adkins diet to lose weight. this is a high protein, low carbohydrate diet.
It made sense to me that meat and eggs and butter don't make you fat, it's the breads, pastas and sugars that do. and it sure helped to lose weight.
Not too long after starting that, I heard about MSM and started taking that, just because it sounded like kind of a "good for all what ails you" type thing.
I started taking larger quantities for my bad back and needed to buy in larger quantities. i discovered your MSM website and have bought from you by the kilo. I take a tablespoon every day and my back has not bothered me for a couple years.
I thought you might find Doug Kaufman's website interesting because he too feels the pharmaceutical industry causes great harm.
Thanks for your response.
Best wishes to you and keep up the good work.
-steve
Dear Steve,
Doug's web page, on fungal problems, indeed blasts the pharmaceutical industry -- but literally thousands of researchers and writers have done the same -- so that is not very unusual.
But, most of those who expose the lies of the drug industry, like Dr. Effe Ravnskov, do NOT go the next few steps back into the history of WHO had the evil intention in the first place. I don't think that the evil of the drug industry has ever been a mistake -- it is always traceable back to one human, or many, who have evil intentions toward mankind -- and don't worry much about committing transgressions against the norms of civil society.
Perhaps Doug has done some of that too? I didn't look.
I guess that what I do is "counter culture" but it is journeys of people like you -- OUT of that culture, into the (what would you call it?) "alternative culture" that I want to encourage.
To me there is no question that the world is in a tail-spin with drugs, terrorism and poverty -- among other things. It may appear that solutions are in sight, but the downward spiral has continued for many centuries, and I don't think the actual solution is yet very prominent.
I hope I am part of that actual solution -- exposing the fraud in medicine and health care, and I think you are getting more and more into the group that appreciates this type of information.
In other words, the "counter culture" is growing, fortunately, and the "old society" is on its way out!
Write again.

Thank you for your wonderful newsletter. I look forward to receiving it every month and share it with friends.
I am on an alternative diet battling diabetes and it sure has helped tremendously. I get resistance from a lot of people who constantly comment on my diet. I seems years of Pavlovian mind control has convinced the public that the trolls are spouting-off sacred doctrine.
It is not P.C. to fight this mindset or its doctrines.
Thanks for being there and keep on fighting like I and many others are doing!

Dear Karl,
Many thanks for your e-m.
I am more
than pleased that you found my comments of
interest. Your observations are like a
breath of fresh air in the, generally,
stultifying atmosphere of modern medical
practice. You might find the following of
interest.
Today, (Friday April 5th.) The London Times
contained an article with the headlines:
"Unhappy doctors cannot stomach modern
medicine."
The article
quotes the prestigious British Medical
Journal, by stating that "Doctors around the
world are unhappy with their lot (situation)"
It continues by saying that "It is an
international and widespread problem." Sir
George Alberti, President of the Royal
College of Physicians, said that "The old
association between doctors, patients and
society has broken down, and a new one is
needed to restore doctors' confidence to
enable them to work effectively"
The British Medical Journal established a
website requesting doctors from around the
world to respond to its questionaire.
According
to The Times the website was "bombarded" with
replies from doctors who recorded " A deep
disillusion with the practice of modern
medicine." The article continued by stating
"In the US, where doctors have traditionally
enjoyed high status and high earnings,
almost 60% of respondents described
themselves as being unhappy or very unhappy."
Please feel free to quote this or, indeed,
any other comments I may make.
Keep up the good work. It is only by people
such as yourself who are willing to challenge
orthodoxy that reason may be established and
change affected. .
For a full report please visit the British
Medical Journal site.
Regards,
Brian.
PS. If I can find it in my filing system (
some hope!) I will send you a interesting
letter on the myth of fats and cholesterol,
written to The Times a couple of years, ago
by
Dear Brian,
Great further news.
I've published this on the same page as your original comment.
Help spread the word -- I have 15,000 pages of vital data but it needs more people reading it. I have well over 100,000 visitors per month on my pages, but that is obviously not yet enough
Thanks, again,
Karl Loren

Dear Karl,
Well said!
I agree with your comments.
I was told to take cholesterol reducing drugs and they gave me a terrible pain in the back near my liver I stopped then tried again three times and gave up on the drugs.
(the drugs are very expensive).
I am glad I have read your information, I now feel better about just eating better and keeping off the manufactured foods eg Margarine etc.

Jon
Dear Jon,
Thanks for the nice comments.
And, congratulations on avoiding those expensive drugs.

Dear Karl,
Further to my comments I think you may be interested in the plight of one of our doctors here in Canada, British Columbia to be more exact.
My mother in law also was diagnosed with high cholesterol and after many bad effects from the cholesterol lowering drugs she went to Dr. David Derry (web site of interest) http://www.bites-medical.org/dderry.html
After his treatment where she was treated with Desiccated Thyroid her cholesterol has dramatically dropped.
Also she is much more alive and looks much better for the treatment. Dr. Derry has been suspended by the College for over prescribing the Desiccated Thyroid.
My mother in law was told by a local Pharmacist to take the Synthetic thyroid substitute but it has bad side effects. - Yes you can print my name and also email address.
I am one who likes to keep a low profile as the public who squawk loudest in this FREE DEMOCRACY seem to be harassed by the Canadian Secret Service (CSIS).

Dear Karl,
I forgot to add in the last email a reply to your email.
We grow all our own food and because of the climate have to freeze most of our vegetables.
Our meat is from local farmers and we raise our own sheep. We get raw milk from our neighbours and I love the cream for my porridge in the morning.
Probably not good for a type 2 diabetic that I am. But we may as well die happy but not to be totally stupid and abuse the body too much.
We get cheese from the place we get our milk from. The cheese is home made. I also sometimes make my own butter.
By the way it is illegal to sell raw milk in our province of Alberta. The dairies have a strangle hold on us here. If a milk producer is caught selling milk on the side they will be fined and their Milk Quota can be suspended. So much for free choice in our so called Free society in which we pride ourselves.
It is worse than a dictatorship.
Enough.
Regards Jon
Dear Jon,
The "dictatorship" you mention is growing -- it grows slowly enough that people of good will decide to put up with it rather than fight.
We lose our freedom ONLY because the citizens fail to be vigilant and to fight back when any small loss of freedom is experienced.
You are doing your part -- help others defend YOUR freedom! Get them to become more active in defending their freedsom, and thus yours and mine!
Regards,
Karl

Dear Karl,
OK, Mr. Loren, I have spent awhile reading this newsletter and have to say I agree with all of it, especially what I am familiar with.
My brother was admitted to
a hospital off of a golf course because he
lost the ability to even pick up the golf
ball and finally fell. The Dr. said he had a
stroke and would have to be on blood thinners
etc. They put him on some name starting with
a C.
He has always been very active, works out
with weights, runs miles a day etc.
He quit the medication
slowly and has been off it for over 3 years,
at first he and I both were frightened to
death. He has no problems now except an out
of rhythm heart beat which he takes one pill
a day for.
I mentioned to some of my friends I was going
to tell him about your product and was amazed
to hear their remarks:
"He is just like the heart doctors and drug
companies. He is trying to get his product
sold." How do you know that 30 pills a day
wouldn't harm you more than the two or three
the Dr. gives you, and who could afford that
much money?"
I do believe you are right. I lived in the
time when we had our own cows and milked
them, had our own butter, milk, eggs, etc.
Only one in my whole family had heart
problems.
How do I tell a green horn that you are
right?????????
Keep up the great work!
Merle
Dear Merle,
Your brother on Coumadin -- it is rat poison, of course. Check out the nasty truth about it here:
Convincing others? It is not easy.
Part of the answer is in understanding the problem of "prior lies." People are very likely to accept as truth the first time they hear some datum, particularly if it comes from an authority figure, like a mother, or doctor.
So, Johnny knows nothing about "ear infections," gets one, and the doctor says they are caused by sleeping in a draft.
To Johnny that is now "God's Gospel!"
If you come along and say, "Ear infections are NOT caused by sleeping in a draft," you will not likely get anywhere.
It then helps if you can say, "In fact, it was then discovered that fresh air was vital to a good sleep."
If you, with the person's help, FIND the first time he ever heard that data, actually recall the time when the doctor (or his mother) said it, it will start to be possible to change that false data and replace it with the true data.
If the source of the false data was someone disreputable, like a usual doctor, and Johnny was not particularly fond of this doctor, then it is easier. You may then even generalize a bit and suggest that "many doctors have had terrible medical educations and some in particular have fallen for a false theory that was floating around in the 19XX's, that sleeping in a draft was unhealthy."
Or some such.
So, bombarding your family with the claim that "cholesterol does not cause heart disease" is not likely to be very productive. That is why I said that Dr. Uffe had done half the job.
I would suggest that you start with attacking the bad guys.
For instance, it is now proven that the American Heart Association for many years was lying about the death rate from heart disease so that it could claim that its recommendations were "winning the war against heart disease." Click here for the truth on that.
Recognize, also, that there are a large number of people who are so distrustful that they won't accept ANY new data. Their problem is that they have been burned too often. They have bought some pill, tried it, and it didn't work.
With them, you can help them by asking, "When did you take some product that didn't work?" And stand back for the gusher. When they start, encourage them to continue. Then get another, and another and another. You might then ask them if they ever tried something that "worked" and ask them for another and another. Soon they will begin to see some differences between their failures and their successes -- that everything has not been a failure, and that maybe, just maybe, there is some hope for something "new."
There are many techniques, but most of all, don't give up. You love them! They need help and don't know it.
