Source: Personal message from Dan
Dan wrote the following to me.
There are arteries that lie right on the surface of the heart, these are called coronary arteries, from what I can find so far the ultrasound is incapable of measuring blockages in these arteries that supply the heart with blood.
For example, my Dad’s Left Interior Mammary Artery (LIMA), is unattached from the chest wall and reattached below the blockage on the Left Anterior Descending artery (LAD).
The LAD runs down the right side of the heart, so they are basically sewing the existing LIMA artery to the LAD which of course lies on the surface of the heart. The other bypasses using leg veins are also sewn onto the surface of the heart into the arteries which are right at the outer surface of the hearts’ wall.
This is what I was trying to verify in my previous message to you. It sounds like your ultrasound test did not include viewing the flow in the coronary arteries directly. I have attached a JPG picture if you want to see what I mean.
Here is the image he sent along.

On the basis of this, I would agree with Dan, and agree that Ultrasound cannot "see" those arteries that are attached to, or very close to, the heart muscle itself. The heart muscle would prevent the ultrasound from "seeing through" the artery and detecting blockage.
Ultrasound can see through the aorta, and other arteries, and thereby detect blockages, with accuracy.
Thus, the heart doctor who intends to give you bypass surgery on any pretext, will tell you that the ultrasound is not adequate. He is right. The ultrasound is NOT adequate to support the need for, or the location of, bypass surgery.
I would never get an angiogram, under any circumstances, because I would never be willing to get the bypass. I do not need to be scared into some treatment.
I also don't believe it is "necessary" to get the ultrasound test, since I believe that virtually everyone has heavy metal toxicity and need to detoxified from metals -- hence oral chelation.
The ultrasound, in such case, will still be a "nice to have" test, before and after, to see what type of blockage that CAN be seen, gets changed.
