My Baby Brother On Prozac Shot Himself!
Karl Note: I received this fateful message from Wayne in April 2005. He reported that his baby brother had been on Prozac for some six years. He also reported that his brother had just shot himself. His baby brother was dead. A sad and angry wife was left with no husband. Wayne wrote, primarily to thank me for publishing so much about the evils of Prozac specifically and psych drugs in general.
My answer is below his message -- I've simply deleted his last name and address details.
I got another message at about the same time from David. He is actually buying one of our Vibrant Life products, but he asked one of the hot questions I often get -- he asked for my comments on a psych drug. I laid it on -- see HERE.

So, here is the latest -- how Wayne's baby brother just shot himself to death, a couple weeks ago. Wayne's brother had been on Prozac for six years. The anger in this family was dispersed -- with no one apparently showing any personal responsibility for allowing their relative or friend to continue to take this drug without comment.
Wayne tells how his "church" have helped him -- but the untold story is how his church has failed him by remaining silent in the face of one of their own on Prozac.
Stories like these are not getting much publicity -- particularly with my continuing theme of putting the responsibility on those close to the one who is doing the self-harmful thing.
We are, each of us, our brother's keepers, and that message needs more to be told!

Dear Karl,
My brother was on PROZAK.
I didn't know!
He shot himself in the head a week ago on April 18th.
I just found this websight tonite while I'm not
sleeping ,thinking about WHY he did such a thing.
It was not at all like him . He was such a good, considerate, kind
,helping person. LOVED to help the elderly and really anybody.
Donated his time and services to any and all churches in his area.
He made head stones @ no charge .He owned a sand blasting business
in xxx. He also owned xxxx.
At the memorial MANY people praised his generosity and perfection
.He was truley an artest . He was O.K. then snapped.
He had been on prozak I think about 6 years from what I hear . I don't know really anything about Prozak.
I'm shocked that the doctor had him on such a drug. I HOPE his widow can do something.
She doesn't want this to be swept under the rug. I'm still in shock! I loved my baby brother.
He was 48 & 1/2 to the day. This has been I think the hardest time in my life. And I'm 52 years old. What can I do?
My Church has really helped me.
If not for God, I don't know HOW I could handle it .
My brother was creamated Last Friday 4-27-05 I'm having a hard time with this.
It shouldn't have happened. Thanks for what info I got from this page , It has helped me to understand He wasn't himself I DO pray that God will take that into consideration at the judgment.

Depending on how much your read, I have literally hundreds of pages describing the horror of Prozac.
I feel so strongly about this that by Company Policy I refuse to sell any product to any person taking any psych drug -- and have published a "hall of infamy" of doctors who prescribe these drugs.
While it is well proven that Prozac causes violent and often criminal behavior in many, the real fault lies with the doctors who prescribe it, the drug companies who make it, and the friends and family who accept this usage as "OK."
The wife? Good enough that she feels angry. But, all those years when she allowed her husband to use that drug must put some great responsibility back on her.
You and others in the family do not escape a similar responsibility.
My Church has been by far the most active in condemning Prozac, and going far further with effective campaigns to stop its use.
Thanks for your letter -- see if you don't feel like taking up the cause of trampling out of existence this drug.
One way would be to visit my web site on morals, and go further to join as an associate to help distribute the book on a common sense moral code (which certainly includes the code of not taking harmful drugs).

Dear Karl,
I sent a request for your tape, "The Four Roads to Ruin" but I'm not sure you received it. I failed to fill-in the above form, thinking it would be unnecessary since I have corresponded with you before.
Remember me?
I'm the one with the huge foot in my mouth. Again, I apologize. A person should NEVER allow his or her personal feelings or convictions to offend another. Especially when coming from a view-point of total ignorance as mine were.
Since our last correspondence, I have ordered and
my wife and I have started taking your "Life Glow Plus" formula. I
don't expect to get as drastic results as some of your clients as my
wife and I are only in our mid 40's. But I figured it was definitely
time to start preventive maintenance.
I have cut out homogenized milk and am in the process of quiting
sugar. My wife is not as convinced of the benefits of this product
as I am. She is naturally much more of a skeptic than I am, but I
have got her to agree to take it with me until she becomes convinced
in one direction or the other.
If there are any specific articles you could recommend to help with this I'd appreciate it. I am now in the process of assimilating your entire web-site, but there is so much information to wade through it's hard to know what to pass on to her and what is relatively irrelevant as far as convincing her to continue to take the formula.
I have an unrelated question. What is your opinion and what information do your have on the relatively new drug Adderall?

Dear David,
Adderall is apparently a psychiatric drug. I feel so strongly that such drugs are so harmful that I refuse to sell any of my products to anyone taking any such drug. If any parent gives that or any psychiatric drug to a child I consider that child abuse -- and also refuse to give any advice (other than to get off the drug and turn in the prescriber as a criminal -- which I will publish).
I appreciate your polite comments, but I hardly ever remember names. I answer so many letters that I hardly ever even look at the name -- just reading the message and responding to it without concern for who it might be from.
If you are taking this psych drug, and managed to buy one of my products, against my Policy, I accept that reality, but tell you that you cannot expect any helpful results from either my product or any other useful product as long as you take the psych drug.
If that isn't strong enough, I could write more.
You did not say that you are taking this drug -- but I feel so strongly that I would rather lose a few customers because they take offense at this than remain quiet about such.
Normally Kimberly gets these requests first, and handles any special items -- such as sending a copy of my cassette lecture on the Four Roads To Ruin.
I'm assuming you are not taking that drug, and willing to send the tape to you. Kim may have already sent it, but a copy of this to her will remind her to send it if she has not already sent it.
If you would like to continue this dialogue, then I must ask you to be honest with me -- are you taking or giving to another any psych drug??
